It's hard to see her cute curled hair behind her hands, but she is dressed as Word Girl from the PBS TV show. When she asked, how could I refuse her wanting to be a superhero with an incredible vocabulary. I made the costume from scratch and she was darling, unfortunately there apparently aren't a lot of people that watch PBS kids shows because she wasn't often recognized! Gavin picked the Buzz Lightyear costume at D.I. and we already had the Winnie the Pooh from when Gavin was little. They were so cute and we had a fabulous time trick-or-treating at the mall and then around the neighborhood until both Gavin and JoJo were exhausted. Emma continued on with some friends until she was satisfied with her haul. It was a fabulous Halloween!

October 2009
In October, we got to spend some great time with friends. We went to the Hogle Zoo with our old friends, Donna and Miranda and their kids.
Sticking his head in the lion's mouth....
Fun on the carousel....
Rhinos and cute kids....
What a bunch of monkeys!
Then we went to the Tracy Aviary to meet up with some of my old friends. While we were waiting for them we went on some of the old carnival rides at Liberty Park, including the Ferris Wheel.
Gavin got to ride in the cars.
My two best friends from high school, Jane and Kallee, each had their first child within months of Josiah's birth. We decided to get the three boys together so they could meet. Kallee's son Jordan is a couple of weeks older on the left and Jane's son Owen is about 4 months younger in the middle. It was so fun to see my old friends as moms!
The birds were almost as beautiful as the kids!
Josiah takes every chance he can to get into whatever trouble he can, including the clean laundry. Of course, no one wants to believe me because he is so darling that he has everyone (especially both grandmas) wrapped around his little finger!
We hired our good friend and neighbor, Cory See (Gavin's friend Emily's dad) to help with some of the projects we weren't getting done. He helped finish off the playhouse so the kids could finally use something more than just the sandbox.
Emma decided that it was finally time to get a hair cut (she was tired of combing lots of snarls), so we timed it to correlate with her Halloween costume.

Josiah is already wrapped around my little finger too. HE IS SO DANG CUTE!!!!
I cannot stop smiling when I see his pics. Owen has the same green and blue striped pj's. The twins had them first. They must be from Gavin.
All of your kids are beautiful!!! You and Jason have Gorgeous Children.
Congratulations on your new little girl. You look AMAZING!!!
So many things to say...I love the ladybug hat...the kids are adorable...Hogle Zoo brings back fond memories of Aaron and I dating...Sophie has been growing out her hair and we have been dealing with snarls, maybe we should follow your example...YOU MADE HER COSTUME!!! You are awesome.Did you get my order?
Josiah is indeed darling- wish I could see him more and kiss those cheeks!
Emma is so lovely- she looks beautiful either way, with long or short (er) hair! Though with that long hair, she and Ella certainly look like cousins!
